The Location
Brinkburn is situated in a secluded, wooded ravine on the banks of the River Coquet in the breathtaking Northumberland countryside. It is remote yet only 40 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne and the airport.

Who is the Retreat for?
It's for all adults, but it definitely seems like men are a forgotten group when it comes to Pilates retreats.
All Pilates levels are welcome whether that's the new starter or the experienced Pilates teacher. We can support and challenge all levels as the numbers will be kept small.
What is the Retreat Venue like?
All the indoor sessions will take place in The Barn, which is a warm and
charming, Grade II listed stone barn. The atmosphere within The Barn
is something unique and special.
The luxurious yet homely accommodation is found in beautiful stone
cottages the lie adjacent to The Barn.
The food will be delicious and nutritious, plant based and sourced
locally where possible.

The Barn is set in amazing grounds and woodland and by the river.
You'll be able roam freely and take in the peace and beauty
of the area whilst leaving your stresses behind.

We will offer a pre retreat consultation and movement assessment either in person or virtually, so we can be prepared so as to design the retreat for you.
We will also offer a free online class for the first month after the retreat to help you carry on the good work.
The focus will truly be on you and your movement with a view of making real change over the 3 days.
It will not just be time away, it will be an opportunity to make a difference.

Adrian's Bio
Adrian is a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor with over 20 years experience in the industry. He has trained in both contemporary and classical styles of Pilates and is certified with National Pilates Certification Programme (NPCP). He is perfectly placed to assist you with all your Pilates needs.
In addition to his extensive Pilates training he is qualified in other health and fitness disciplines. He trained as a Personal Trainer and Health and Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine and has developed his natural movement exercise skills with the world renowned MovNat movement.
Always keen to learn more and provide answers for his clients, Adrian qualifed as a Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist Practioner. He combines this technique with his Pilates practice to help his clients activate muscles that are under-performing or even switched off.
Adrian has a wealth of knowledge in Pilates and other health and fitness disciplines, which he is so keen to share with others. Perhaps more important than his knowledge and experience is his desire to keep learning and ensure that this learning is evidence based. He will work tirelessly throughout the 3 days to help you develop and enjoy your Pilates practice.
