Personal and Functional Training

At Precision Fitness we offer a bespoke training package to help clients improve fitness, develop strength, lose weight, rehabilitate from injury or illness and generally just feel better about themselves.


We assess movement, posture and muscle balance using a Functional Movement Screen and analyse body composition (muscle and fat levels) using an InBody scanner.


Once goals have been agreed we use a combination of natural movement techniques (Mov Nat training), resistance training, high intensity interval training, suspension training and Pilates method. We also offer nutritional advice based on healthy, balanced, natural food choices, taking into account the requirements of different body types. 


Training can be undertaken on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio in our private fitness studio. This ensures your complete privacy and attention to detail in your own space for the hour.



Training Method Information


Mov Nat Training: is a fitness and physical education system based on the full range of natural human movement skills. It focuses on developing movement skills with mindfulness to ensure safe and efficient fitness improvement.


Resistance Training: using free weights, cable machines and Keiser pressure equipment to increase strength and improve muscle mass. Important to combat sarcopenia (the natural loss of muscle mass with age).


High Intensity Interval Training: includes bursts of high intensity exercise over 20 to 30 seconds with recovery which is repeated 6 to 8 times. The method has been shown to help improve fitness and assist fat loss. 


Suspension Training: a form of resistance training in which a variety of multi plane, compound exercises can be undertaken. The aim is to develop strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability.


Active Isolated Stretching: a stretching and strengthening technique perfected by Aaron Mattes over the past 40 years.  The method improves circulation, increases the elasticity of muscles and releases fascia.  The technique not only develops flexibility, it also improves well-being and quality of life.
